From my studio in SW Scotland I make cushions, scarves and one-off pieces out of cloth ranging from cotton velvet to fine translucent silks: hand-dyed, pieced and machine-embroidered.
Some designs are abstract, consisting of blocks of shaded colour, others feature landscapes or quirky birds and animals.
From my studio near New Galloway, on the edge of Galloway Forest Park, I am offering three-day workshops in which participants will use dyes, fabric-paints and quilting to produce a textile panel inspired by the surrounding wild flowers and woods. I can only take groups of four people at a time so everyone will get plenty of individual attention.
The workshops will run from 10.00-4.00 and the cost is £150 for the three days. Tea, coffee, bakes and light lunch are included as are all materials.
At the moment I am offering: Option A: Tuesday - Thursday September 5-7. Option B: 3 consecutive Wednesdays September 20, 27 and October 4. If you would like to take part, but neither of these options work for you please let me know and I will see what I can do with alternative dates.
